Saint Louis City Licenses

A few things to remember:

Apply as early as possible before your estimated open date
Licenses will take a 4 week minimum to be completed and as much as 8 weeks to finish
Check with your alderman/alderwoman and any local neighborhood and business associations before applying

All other municipalities and unincorporated areas

The length of time needed to receive your license depends on each municipality. Please call us for more information pertaining to the municipality you are interested in.

County Licenses

In most cases you will only need to take your state and city (if applicable) licenses to the county government center and pay for your county license. You should be able to operate that same day in most instances.

What you will need:

All applicants will need the following items:

Proof of Voters Registration
Paid 2007 Personal Property Tax receipt or waiver
A Letter Appointing the Managing Officer
A Notarized Lease
A Notarized Bill of Sales (Not applicable for new businesses)
A Missouri State Sales Tax License and Letter of No Tax Due

For Corporations

Copy of the Certificate and Articles of Incorporation

For an LLC

Copy of the Certificate and Articles of Organization
Copy of the LLC's Operating Agreement
